Real Topeka People is the St. Louis-based project of Zach Wexelman, formed after leaving Los Angeles and returning home to build something rooted in the American Midwest.

Pulling from blues, alternative, and old-school funk, Real Topeka People lives somewhere between Midwest garage rock and the rhythm-forward energy of classic soul records.

Built on tight grooves, fuzzed-out guitars, and raw live energy, the songs feel made for smoke-filled dives and after-hours rooms.
